roadrunners good morning and Welcome to our First Assembly of September I hope you had a great week I know your teachers have been working really hard and have shared how much they will already got to know you they will begin our son play with a couple of announcements for my PPA and we'll have our pledge and some I hope you have taken the challenge to learn this land is your land in English Spanish for American Sign Language and I also hope that you are enjoying celebration because of sing-alongs what's the best way to participate I'd like to welcome our PTA Representatives we have a couple of announcements misscrystal arceo our PTA president Hi everyone we're so excited start the 20 20 20 20 square here we have a lot of stuff planned for you guys to make it as fun as possible even though we're just in planning and now I'd like to introduce you to Jennifer high road runners wanted to thank everyone your parents your loved ones for contributing to wish night we put together a little video to show you what we're up to their virtual learning and are non screen hand speed free projects so I hope you enjoy thanks please stand Facebook flag if your hats and hoods put your right hand over your heart ready pledge allegiance to the flag of United States of America into this for all our teachers would like share with you a multilingual patriotic song I encourage you to sing and sign along to This Land Is Your Land is there a S2 tiara Vista California as I was walking that ribbon of highway I saw above me that in the sky this land was made for you and me your land is my land California to the New York Islands from the Redwood Forest to the Gulf Stream Waters clean sensor for Diamond desert end all around me a voice clip sounding this land was made for you and me to celebrate with 30 year anniversary introduced you and it is from Sesame Street I love Sesame Street as a child the characters that Monsters the people there I love learning from them today we're going to learn about a new friend has autism and so a little bit more and some friends who have autism here's some more paper. Sesame Street we are having some fun with finger paint hi Julia I'm big bird nice to meet you huh Julia Georgia just concentrating on her painting right now that you guys are doing a great job yeah me too I love the way the pain in my finger and that's why a paintbrush works for you there's lots of ways to paint how can I see what you all painted wipe your hands off first I will show him take a look at what they both really great may I see you are painting Julia Julia text Julia Tutwiler answer again take a look at miss everybody you're really good at painting high five Julia I don't think she'll you like me very much she's shy how I get that I can feel shy sometimes do she likes it when people know that what's autism Wilfred it means that she might not answer you right away that's right and she may not do what you expect like give you a high five a little differently okay play play play that's a great idea I'll me to can I play so what do we say how about I think that's a yes like a rubber ball wait wait what was Julia doing what she looks like she's playing tag from jumping I've never seen tag place like that just do some things a little differently because of her autism sometimes people with Autism may do things that might seem confusing to you like like when she flies your hands yep that's just something she does when she's excited but you know what also does some things that you might want to try Peppa Pig it does look like a fun way to play it doesn't matter how they play they're just a bunch of friends having fun you know I think I'd like to be a friend of Julia to oh okay going blank blank blank joint going blank blank blank blank blank this is a new way of playing Alan but I like it what's the matter of Gioia the sirens are bothering you boring boring boring boring here Star Trek come on I didn't I didn't mean to upset you earlier you didn't like the siren siren it wasn't that loud she helped she's going to be okay I sure hope so I can see where this is your favorite Spa Julia it's so quiet up here lots of pretty flowers Sherry call me another fluster helps you feel calm to why don't we do some of your deep breathing okay let's try to remember take a big belly breath in Columbiana slowly in feeling a little better better I love this View look at that everything different from up here doesn't it so funny what do you see yeah yeah that's your new friend Big Bird but he looks like a small bird from Up right oh I'm just thinking Julia you know she's not like any friend I've ever had before Monster High yeah I guess that's true all my friends are different each one is unique bird for me gee thanks Julia that's really kind of you we have something we both like to do I like the flat to it's a bird thing I guess flat flat flat yeah I know that we both like to play oh sure you can play some more we can be friends we all have shine like a diamond Doc McStuffins weekend the bills when we all play together Thomas the Train oh yeah call batter let's play dead as celebration we going to celebrate your party with you come on let's all celebrate wake on Saturday it's time to come together it's up to you I know.
