Being a PTA volunteer has helped me see the meaningful role the PTA plays in providing a platform to bettering our children's lives and I'd like to share why the PTA is important for MHS. On local, state, and national levels, PTAs advocate for quality education, child safety, and school funding. PTA helps facilitate communication and collaboration between parents and the school, leading to better understanding of expectations, needs and school policies. MHS PTA values community building with fun parent socials and family events throughout the year that are well attended! PTA (Parent Teacher Association) is a non-profit organization run by volunteers. It is made up of parents, family members, teachers, and other supporters of our school. Its purpose is to provide support to the school in order to improve the educational experience of our children with fundraising and organizing enrichment activities and community events.
PTA provides you with the opportunity to serve, to volunteer and to contribute to your child’s educational experience. At our monthly PTA meetings, you have a chance to hear directly from our principal and our School Board representatives, and voice your opinion in your child’s education. You also have the opportunity to meet and to talk with other parents in the MHS community who share the same interests in enhancing our children’s education.
When do PTA general association meetings take place?
in-person in the MHS Multi-Purpose Room. All other meetings will be held via Zoom.
