3rd-5th Grade Writing Assembly Recap

On Tuesday and Wednesday, Author Jared Nigro hosted a free writing assembly for our 3rd-5th grade students. The writing assembly was focused on helping kids find the stories they want to tell within themselves and then how to tell them.  He worked collaboratively with classes to create a story- by having the students rant about something they're passionate about and then sculpt that passion into a story by learning basic dramatic structure. The kids had an exciting time creating and acting out the story.  Copies of the book were provided to each 3rd-5th grade class.

Mr. Jared will be returning to MHS on Thursday, May 14 during 1st-5th lunch recess to autograph books.
