Fast-forward to today: when I stepped into the Executive Board Membership Chair role, I honestly didn’t know exactly what I was doing. But I had one clear mission — grow our membership beyond last year’s 167 members… even if just by 2%.
Well… we didn’t just meet that goal.
We shattered it. We’re at 398 members so far!
And we did it together.
I’m incredibly grateful for our teachers who reached a phenomenal 100% PTA participation, for our amazing support & office staff, Vice Principal Tejada, and Principal Zavala, who all jumped in with full support. And let’s celebrate the three classes that hit FULL participation in membership!
Even CAPTA (California PTA) noticed our momentum — highlighting MHS in their “Together We Launch” recognition! That’s a huge win for our whole community.

All 1st–5th grade classes are SO close to earning their popsicle (or cookie — because brrr!) party. If you haven’t joined yet, now’s the perfect time. Or join on behalf of your child’s favorite classmate! These kids work so hard to learn, socialize, and gain life skills: they deserve a little party.
