Library Classroom Volunteers Needed

All classes attend library once a week with our librarian, Miss Kerri.  It is very helpful if a parent from each class can attend their class’s session to help check books in and out for the students.  This year, we will be using a school-wide Sign-up Genius for classroom library volunteers.  

All library volunteers are required to be trained prior to volunteering in the library.    If you did not have a chance to attend a library training but would like to volunteer, please contact Miss Kerri at [email protected] to set up a time.  

Please do not sign up until you have received training and only sign up during your child’s class time!  To help ensure that everyone has a chance to volunteer, we kindly ask that families limit the number of slots they sign up for at the start of the school year. 

During your shift, we ask that only the scheduled volunteer attend to minimize distractions during class time. For safety and liability reasons, young children are not permitted on campus while you volunteer.  

TK/K teachers will determine when their classes will start to check out books, at which time the dates will be added to the Sign-up Genius.
