In the spirit of giving to those in need during the holiday season, Monterey Hills Third Graders have a wonderful opportunity to work with the Rotary Club of South Pasadena and the Interact Club of South Pasadena High School to fundraise for much-needed supplies that will be given to our homeless population. These holiday gifts will be given on December 10th at Los Angeles First United Methodist Church (please see flyer below).
We need your help with donations. The MHS third graders will focus on giving warm sweatshirt/sweatpant sets for the colder weather season. An Amazon wish list link will be included for 3rd-grade families who are able to donate. $10 gift cards can also be given to go towards the purchase of the clothing. When we are finished collecting the clothing, our students will have a wrapping party of the gifts during the week of December 4th. The Rotary Club will be supplying the bags and wrapping materials. The students will write holiday cards to be included with the gifts.
Thank you for your consideration in donating. It will be a great experience to participate in a good cause for our 3rd graders!
Amazon Wish List Link: Sweatshirt/pants sets and Amazon gift cards will be collected by your teachers and given to Mrs. Trachtenberg. They will be counted by the Rotarian in charge of the fundraiser and acknowledgment will be given to the MHS families for their donations.
