Welcome Back Information

Dear MHS Families,
Can you believe that we are in the last weeks of summer? I am sure that some of you are already beginning to start your back-to-school routines, so I wanted to remind you of some important dates and events and offer you some helpful links.

Watch for our Welcome Letter next week which will share our vision for the coming year at MHS! In the meantime, please check out the information below.

Important Dates in August
Fri., Aug. 5 5th Grade Leadership Day 9:30-11:30 (Students only, MPR)
Fri., Aug. 5 Tk/K Playdate (Tk and K families, Kindergarten Playground) 4pm-5:30pm
Mon., Aug. 9 New Family Orientation at 6:00 pm (New 1-5th Gr. Families, MPR)
Wed., Aug. 10 Teacher & classroom info. posted on my.spusd.net after 5:00 pm
Thurs., Aug. 11 First Day of School
Thurs., Aug. 11 PTA Welcome Coffee at 8:10 am
Thurs., Aug. 18 Back to School/Wish Night 6 pm-8 pm (Early dismissal for students 1-5th grade 2:00)

First Day Schedule for Tk and Kinder Thursday, August 11

1st Day is a shortened day. There will be a 20 min. Parent Orientation at the beginning of class.
8:10-9:40 AM Tk/Kinder (Shortened day for orientation.), then
11:35-1:05 PM Tk/Kinder (Shortened day for orientation.)
(Beginning Friday and subsequent days 8:10-11:35 AM Tk/Kinder; 11:35-3:00 PM Tk/ Kinder)

First Day Schedule for 1st-5th grade Thursday, August 11
8:10-2:25 1st-2nd Grade
8:10-2:45 3rd Grade
8:10-2:50 4th-5th Grade
(This will be the same schedule for the rest of the school year, except Fridays and early dismissal days.)

First and subsequent FRIDAY Schedule beginning August 12
8:10-11:35 AM Tk/Kinder (same arrival and dismissal time)
11:35-3:00 PM Tk/ Kinder (same arrival and dismissal time)
8:10-1:05 1st-3rd Grade (early dismissal)
8:10-1:15 4th-5th Grade (early dismissal)
