We end with Stevie Wonder singing Happy Birthday! (What would a birthday tribute be without singing happy birthday? ) As every good party goes...this assembly is a little long, even though there was so much we left out! If you are viewing this assembly with your children, you might stop at Stevie Wonder (which is 23 minutes in) or you might just want to do the sing-a-long. Danciing is also encouraged. Please take pictures!! The making and editing of this assembly was thought provoking, inspired soul searching, and brought about big emotional responses. You'll hear it in the teachers' and students' voices. It is hard to think of the work and words of MLK from over 55 years ago without being stirred by their relevance today.
